Our goal is build partnerships with 300 schools in the United States and China. These schools are elite in academic areas in their countries. We work with these schools closely and listen to their educational needs. According to each school’s strength and culture, we create unique programs and projects to suit their needs. Especially in China, 300 partner schools participate in our International Education Sharing Project and benefit from our excellent education resources from the United States including English teachers, classroom set up, online courses, etc. They are not only benefited from common support like teaching training and educational exchange, but also enjoy comprehensive and systematic support, like international school set up and dual diploma programs.
Each year, we host several education conferences in China attended by educators from the United States. Our mission is to share and learn the trending education information and knowledge from each other. This will raise attention toward education reform and education development for our future generations. Chinese School administrators and teachers are invited to the United States each year to attend multiple meetings on teaching training, curriculum development, and instructional strategies.

US Education Federation (USEF) is a California-based education agency supported by Lutheran Church School District, dedicated to the meaningful exchange and communication in primary and secondary education between the United States of America and countries around the globe, promoting international education programs focusing on world language education, professional development, global awareness, and cultural exposure. USEF has many years of experiences working with Lutheran School District to create programs that prepare students for success in an interconnected world, excel in core curriculum and allow them acquire valuable 21st century skills.
We also work closely with local school districts in California and other states. We created international education sharing project that is aim to build a communication channel for educators and schools around the world to accomplish better information sharing, discussion and problem solving. For instance, we provide constant support to schools who need teaching training, setting up international school, dual high school diploma, etc. During the past few years, we have sent numerous American educators to countries like China. Korea, Japan, Malaysia, etc.
One of the 21st century skills for students is international and cultural awareness. Based on its extensive resources, USEF helps create partnerships between American schools and schools overseas in the form of sister school exchange programs. Our goal is to help students develop the sense of global vision while students from other countries learn about America. Through international education exchange programs, USEF not only provides a great opportunity for international students to study in America, but also helps them open their eyes and changes their views of toward the whole world. Furthermore, many experienced American teachers bring their first-hand knowledge to schools overseas as well as contribute their international perspectives and share cultures experiences.
Shawn ChenPresident
Educated in China and the United States, Shawn Chen’s career has embraced education, business and entrepreneurism in both countries. His business ventures include the hospitality industry and a steel door manufacturing business that sells its products in China and the United States. He has served as President of The Sias Group, Inc. since 1992. In 1998, with the approval of the Minister of Education and the State Degree Office in China, Chen founded Sias International University, an innovative educational institution through which students, leaders, and scholars from East and West can meet and profit from an exchange of ideas expressed in both Chinese and English.
Shawn Chen has received many awards from both educational institutions and the governments of China and the United States. Recent recognition includes Resolutions and Commendations from the City of Zhengzhou, the Provincial Government of Henan Province, the Governor of Kansas, the Mayor and City Council of Los Angeles, the Missouri State Legislature, and the Arizona State Legislature. He is an Economic Advisor to Henan Province and is regularly selected by both provincial and national government officials in China to lead cultural and trade delegations throughout the United States. He has also led League of California Cities elected officials and Mayoral associations on trade missions throughout China. Chen is frequently invited as a guest speaker by many American organizations and educational institutions, including Harvard University.
An advocate of life-long learning, Chen’s educational career spans twenty five years and includes a Bachelor’s Degree from Chongqing University in China, an MBA from Willamette University in the United States and most recently, a Special Certificate Program from Harvard University designed specifically for university presidents. He has also participated in advanced study programs at UCLA, and in 1987 received a Master’s Degree in Education from Linfield College. His Honorary Doctorates have been awarded by the University for Humanistic Studies in California and the University of the Cordilleras in the Philippines.
Coach Richard MarquisCoach
Coach Richard Marquis, our most experienced international basketball coach in the USA. He has substantial experience in training national level teams for both men and women, from France, Spain, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Thailand, China & Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia, Canada and Brazil. Richard, in his early basketball years, traveled extensively throughout Europe while playing and coaching for a Gillette company sponsored men’s traveling AAU team.
Richard has enjoyed a close working relationship with many pro coaches and front office management personnel within each of the NBA franchises. He is also known for his early work with Yao Ming when he first trained in the States.
Working with the NBA for 13 years (1971 – 1984), Richard Marquis was named president of the NBA Summer Pro League, off season development league for professional players. Adidas became one of the key sponsor for the summer league. During this same period, Marquis, with the financial help of the NBA, organized the largest amateur basketball development program in the USA, “The Olympic Development Leagues”. This program encompassed over 1200 boys and girls from juniors, high schools and players representing most athletes from Japan, Germany, Italy and several other countries.
Because of his experiences, his coaching and teachings is a combination of how the rest of the world views basketball and how different countries play and train their athletes.
